VISION
Offering outcomes based attendance and correspondence training courses with progressive modules in four eight-week cycles annually, in all major centers in South Africa. Competent learning staff who are experienced music professionals in their own right, is sourced from these centers to accurately convey the course content and impart their embedded knowledge. A minimum of two seats on each course are awarded to highly talented individuals with a previously disadvantaged disposition. The course content is updated on a regular basis, and additional modules are written where information and skills development lack in the South African music industry. Annual competitions help to stimulate and identify original talent.
Performance showcases are staged in all major centers at the end of each learning cycle, to offer exposure to a public audience, as well as record companies, publishers, managers and booking agents. Planet Pip Music offers an artist development programme to graduates who display potential, guiding them to disseminate their work and offers a management solution, ensuring maximum exposure and compensation for their work locally and internationally. Planet Pip Music builds an international circuit for these artists by attending music conferences overseas, where artists get the chance to showcase their work to the global market place. Its affiliation with major record lables allows international rotation of its artist’s recorded works, and its joint venture publishing label with Universal Publishing maximises income from royalties and controls copyright globally.
